Blazing Lemoyne Stars Technique Sheet

Your Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool’s versatility is really enhanced with this technique sheet on the Blazing Lemoyne Star! The Blazing Star is similar to the Lone Star but has just 4 diamonds in each star point. It’s a fantastic variation, and it’s 10 sizes range from 6” to 24”, the larger ones just perfect for a wall hanging or medallion in the center of a quilt. This technique was developed by our very talented friend Pam Goggans from Sager Creek Quilts. You might remember Pam as one of the featured pattern designers in our Designer’s Gallery. This is the first product we’ve introduced under the Studio 180 Design name that anyone outside of the company developed, so you know how special we think this is!

If you’ve ever made Deb’s Atlantic Flyway or any of her Carolina Lily patterns, we’d be willing to bet you’re a fan of Migrating Geese! They look like offset flying geese, but are built in a row as a braid rather than individual units. The technique doesn’t use any special ruler, although we do recommend the use of our Quilter's Magic Wand to mark your ¼" seams. Eight at Once Technique Sheet

Tucker Trimmer to the rescue! When you've got a bunch of half square triangles to make, this is the technique for you. Using the the Eight at Once Technique Sheet, you'll be able to make eight half square triangles at a time. Like with all of Deb’s Techniques your half square triangles will be slightly oversized after you are done sewing and pressing so that you can trim them down with your handy dandy Tucker Trimmer.
