Tucker Trimmer to the rescue! When you've got a bunch of half square triangles to make, this is the technique for you. Using the the Eight at Once Technique Sheet, you'll be able to make eight half square triangles at a time. Like with all of Deb’s Techniques your half square triangles will be slightly oversized after you are done sewing and pressing so that you can trim them down with your handy dandy Tucker Trimmer.
$ 29.50
The Eighth Inch Tucker Trimmer trims down 13 different unit sizes in ⅛”, ⅜”, ⅝” and ⅞” increments. For all the times when you just have to trim to an ⅛” increment. Use it to quickly and accurately trim down units that are made with triangles: half square triangle squares, quarter square triangle squares (hourglass units), and combinations of half square and quarter square triangle squares (combination units). It has multiple diagonals which allow you to align ruler guide lines with unit seam lines to quickly locate the exact center of pieced units. This makes unit construction easy, precise and perfect every time and it’s also handy for cutting those ⅛” squares from strips.
It is compact, simple to read, and provides the same great results you've come to expect from all Studio 180 Design tools. It is the perfect tool for those who prefer to make quilts using smaller units!

The Eighth Inch Wing Clipper can trim down 8 different size flying geese that finish in ⅛”, ⅜”, ⅝” and ⅞” increments. This is the perfect tool for all those projects that call for these tricky size units. This tool and the associated Fast Flying Geese construction technique, allows you to make four finished units from five squares. The best part is that each unit is constructed slightly oversized so they can quickly be trimmed to a perfect size with perfect seam placement using the Eighth Inch Wing Clipper tool. Every single unit will be exactly right every time. Who ever thought that would happen with Flying Geese units?!?!

Have you ever wanted to make a Snail’s Trail quilt? If so, then this quilt’s for you! Filigree is a unique variation on a traditional Snail’s Trail block. With the addition of the Corner Beam units between the Snail’s Trail blocks you have even more spiky interest!

Finley’s Fence features playful rings of interwoven colors, made up of fat quarters, to create this modern play on an Irish Links quilt. This exciting design includes an unexpected feature – the addition of Hunter’s Star blocks around an interesting, more traditional style block. Generally, a Hunter’s Star block is used only with other Hunter’s Star blocks in a quilt, but we love the way Sarah has added them here for an unusual and interesting twist, and we think many of you will too. The limited number of fabrics and careful color placement create a variety of secondary patterns that really come to life in this design. We hope that you have as much fun making this quilt as we did.

Easy to make block and sashing stars adorn this design, which Deb created with a student while working at the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts in Ludlow, Vermont. Best part of the construction is that no star points have to meet any other star points so it's a cinch to get super sharp points every time! You’ll use Studio 180 Design’s Corner Pop tool to easily construct this intricate looking quilt.

Look at this beauty! Our friend, Pam Goggans, designed this quilt using the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool. She figured out how to use the tool to create the three star points within each star point to create a traditional Flying Swallows block. WOW! And, it's much easier than using traditional techniques! We loved this quilt so much, and there was so much buzz about it at Quilt Market and Festival this year, that we did something we've never done before: asked a designer to let us sell one of their patterns on our website! In case you don't recall, Pam is the very talented designer who came up with the process for Blazing Lemoynes that became our latest Technique Sheet for the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star. She also has a pattern for making a Carpenter's Wheel with your Lemoyne Star tool that's fantastic (you can purchase those through her website).

Four patches galore! Have you ever seen so many in one project? This quilt is chock full of them, and to get them perfect you will use the Four Patch Square Up tool. By the time you have finished this quilt you will be a master at making perfect four patches.
$ 33.50
Four Patches, basic units that seem so simple to make. Just stitch 4 squares together, either individually or with strip piecing and you’re good to go. But anyone who has attempted these units knows that they are notoriously difficult to make perfectly. Either the unit size isn’t quite right, the edges just don’t quite line up, or they’re just not quite square. Ugh. Even experienced stitchers encounter these problems.
The Four Patch Square Up© Tool is the solution. Like all the Studio 180 Design rulers and processes, this tool and technique will have you build your units slightly oversized and then quickly trim them to perfect shapes. The Four Patch Square Up© Tool is designed to work with units that finish to whole or half inch increments, from ½” finished up to 6” finished unit sizes. The tool’s perfectly engineered lines are designed to quickly locate and align with the unit center and the sewn seams, allowing for easy trimming on all four sides. The accuracy is amazing!
Your units will be the correct size. They will have seams properly positioned. And they will have edges that are straight , even, and square. No more guess work! So jump in and give it a try, you will be absolutely thrilled with the results.

Galaxy is a beautiful alternating block design using two types of blocks, one with a red star and one with a blue star. Because of the color placement and the different angles in the triangles, the interesting interlocking circles appear and the second star block disappears into the circles. It’s a fun optical illusion, easy to make and even easier to admire.

Have you ever wanted to make a group of two color Flying Geese that are all the same, with one color small triangle on the left and a different color on the right? Some designs call for it, and quilters have asked us if there’s a way to do that with the Fast Flying Geese method. I love the illusion of interlocking frames around the star blocks in my Links quilt. This pattern is written with two different size options. The smaller, twin-sized version was featured in the Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Fons and Porter Love of Quilting. Since then I have had so many requests for a larger size that I decided to include a queen-sized version in the pattern. One of my favorite things about this design is that it looks hard...but isn't!
