Birds of Paradise Technique Sheet

This pieced flying goose unit adds lots of interest to a traditional block. By using the Large Square Squared we can create these tricky looking flying geese slightly oversized then trim them down to perfection. This technique walks you through the process of making four units. The included chart gives you cutting dimensions for six different sizes, from 1” x 2" to 6" x 12” finished units. Little Houses Technique Sheet

A little house is similar to the diamond square unit you make with your Square Squared, but it only has two triangles on adjoining corners rather than triangles on all 4, making the unit look like a “little house”. A chart is included with cutting dimensions for your starting pieces so you can make Little Houses for all 6 sizes on your ruler - from 1” to 6” units in whole inch increments.
