Nestle a Wedge Star inside of a Wedge Star and you'll end up with a "Compound Wedge Star." These stunning blocks are a bit of a challenge, but ohhh so worth it! By using our Shaded Four Patch process and adapting it to 45 degrees, you'll be streamlining the construction and maximizing your sewing time. Note the five star difficulty rating though; it will be best to be familiar with your Wedge Star® tool before taking this one on!

Pint Size Wedge Star

The Pint Size Wedge Star tool is a small version of our Wedge Star tool. It includes 11 sizes: the 3" to 12" block sizes from the Wedge Star tool plus one additional smaller size, so now you can also create 2" wedge stars! Designed to make a variety of different blocks based on 45° sub-units, ranging from simple kaleidoscope blocks to complex stars with diamond points going north, south, east, and west. With 11 different size options and the ability to swap sub-units in and out of blocks, you’ll be able to create virtually unlimited designs. This is a tool guaranteed to keep your creativity flowing, project after project!
As an added benefit, we’ve also included a free bonus project, Connections, in the Pint Size Wedge Star’s instruction set. With all the possibilities the Pint Size Wedge Star® tool offers, this project can truly be yours; just change the size and coloring to make a spectacular project as unique as you are! The quilt size and fabric yardage will, of course, depend on the size blocks you choose.
