This fantastic quilt is made using a collection of forty 2½” strips. It’s the perfect project for all those Jelly Rolls you’ve collected! With an additional light, medium and dark fabric, you’ll have all the fabric you need to make this beauty. All these difficult looking blocks and border triangles are made with Deb’s streamlined strip piecing techniques and foolproof precision trimming with her Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool. It’s much simpler to make than you might imagine. Give this stunning quilt a try and you’ll be thrilled at how easily it goes together!

A king size version of the Rangeley Wall Pattern, this project was fun to make with beautiful jewel toned fall fabrics and various light background bits and pieces. And the stars were EASY too! Deb’s Tucker Trimmer 1 tool made each unit perfect and all the stars had great points. An addicting pattern and tool!

I love the illusion of interlocking frames around the star blocks in my Links quilt. This pattern is written with two different size options. The smaller, twin-sized version was featured in the Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Fons and Porter Love of Quilting. Since then I have had so many requests for a larger size that I decided to include a queen-sized version in the pattern. One of my favorite things about this design is that it looks hard...but isn't!

Galaxy is a beautiful alternating block design using two types of blocks, one with a red star and one with a blue star. Because of the color placement and the different angles in the triangles, the interesting interlocking circles appear and the second star block disappears into the circles. It’s a fun optical illusion, easy to make and even easier to admire.

Do you think this looks like a tricky quilt? You might think so, but that's the Grand Illusion! It's a cinch! The blocks and sashing in this amazing quilt are put together so it looks like the blocks are set on point. But they aren't! You’ll use Studio 180 Design’s Tucker Trimmer 1, Square Squared, and Corner Pop tools to create this simple yet complex looking quilt.

Deep in the Heart is the companion pattern for Marie Bostwick's novel, Between Heaven and Texas. It is the fourth collaborative work between Marie and Deb.
Just like Marie's character Mary Dell, this quilt is bigger than life! The Lone Star center (or the center plus the frame) could be a pretty quilt in its own right, but when you add those floating Lemoyne Stars around the edges, Deep in the Heart becomes a fantastic bed size quilt.
Not only that, but all the diamonds and stars are actually strip pieced so, other than the background pieces for the Lone Star, there are no Y seams required! Now that’s a “Yeehaw!” if I ever heard one!

This is a knockout quilt well worth the effort. Banded Lemoyne Stars alternate with simple chain blocks to give the center of this quilt a checkerboard effect. More stars are clustered in the corners of the borders to add extra polish. This quilt is certain to be a prized possession for any lucky recipient.

A spectacular pieced quilt and border that are easy to construct. Deb’s directions and Tucker Trimmer 1 tool eliminate the need to cut or sew any triangles whatsoever. Everything is pieced using squares and then trimmed down after assembly. Keep your points and impress your friends!

A charming project that can be made with a fat quarter collection and Deb’s Tucker Trimmer 1 tool. Each set of pieced units actually creates two blocks at the same time. The pieced border allows you to use up lots of additional fabric bits and pieces.

A terrific pattern that can be made with from a fabric stash! Simply choose strong light and strong dark fabrics and add a terrific couple of tools and you’re on your way toward making this spectacular quilt. Deb’s Rapid Fire Hunter’s Star tool and techniques were used to make the center and her Tucker Trimmer 1 tool to make the pieced border. Much simpler to sew than you might think!

When you look up the definition of the word whirling you’ll understand how this quilt received its name. The blocks certainly give the appearance of spinning rapidly around a central point. They are made with strip piecing and my favorite ‘power tool’, the Tucker Trimmer 3. It truly is easy enough for beginners, but interesting enough to engage the most veteran stitchers. So don’t hesitate. You will absolutely love the results.

My Doves of Hope project is a twist on a traditional block titled Dove in the Window. I actually nestled a small dove block inside a large dove block to create a quarter section for each 19½” block. Add sashing and cornerstones to those quarter sections and you have a great, interesting block. Put it on point, and that Dove really soars!

It’s fun and easy to construct a Kaleidoscope quilt with the Wedge Star tool. Scatter several Diamond Wedges throughout to spice up a traditional Kaleidoscope, or add none at all to keep it even simpler and make it traditional all the way.

Combining Corner Beam Units with Uneven Chain Units creates the illusion of a quilt made on point. Adding an accent fabric and a properly placed dark fabric helps to create a wonderful beaded effect on this quilt. This is a great project to use some of your fat quarters for the lap and queen size quilts. Make it scrappy or make it “planned scrappy”; either way the effect will be dazzling.

The beautiful pathway in this design is created using a second background, edged with colorful triangles. This quilt provides a new perspective on a traditional log cabin. You will have a wonderful time along the way as you create this fun and easy design.

Learn how to make this fun star block and complement it with a great framing chain to create something stunning. Having good contrast between the background and other fabrics will make this quilt really pop, so pay attention to color placement throughout. This is great for expanding your skills and learning a new technique!

Try something new with your Banded Lemoyne Star technique. In this design, the star points are cut from background fabric and banded with color, but then half of the banded star points are reversed, creating an interesting star variation. Work with one background fabric or lots of different fabrics for a scrappy look like the cover quilt. If you go scrappy with your backgrounds, there are also instructions for scrappy background half lemoynes for the edges. Very cool, just like smooth jazz.

This pattern uses large Banded Lemoyne Star quarters to make dynamic quilts in three sizes. For this energetic quilt, star points are cut from background fabric and bands are cut from bright contrasting fabric to make a quarter of a star. These quarters are the design element used to create vibrant diagonals that give this quilt a lively, electric feel.
