We hope you enjoyed the Aurora and Sunset blog hop! The Certified Instructors had a chance to share projects with you using our BlockBuster series. And we have some new patterns to share to spark your creativity. We started the blog hop with a look at how we came up with two collections for Island Batik by Lumin Fabrics. Check out that blog post for a peek behind the scenes.

We challenged the CIs to pick a BlockBuster and make two blocks, one in Aurora and one in Sunset. Some of them even combined the two collections to show how well they work together. Click on each CI's business name to go to their blog post.

Tracey Stinger of The Busy Bee Quilter chose BlockBuster #21 Around the Block.

Virginia Gibbons of Fabric, Thread and Stitches chose BlockBuster #46 Thorns and Thistles.

Terrie Welch of Quilter's Journey chose BlockBuster #51 60 Degree What.

Zhi Jones of Jolly Jones Quilts chose BlockBuster #60 Fireworks.

Becky Malarski of Sew Wise Quilter Chose BlockBuster #61 Sweetbrier.

Kathy Tucker of K&S Quilt Artistry also chose BlockBuster #61 Sweet Brier.

Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs Chose BlockBuster #101 Flowering.

Diana Mann of Murgaboo Quilts chose BlockBuster #104 Flaring Glimmer.

We love what each one did with their blocks! They are all so different. We hope they help inspire you to make your own projects with Aurora and Sunset.

Our Certified Instructors are also talented designers! Tucker University designed two patterns, that show off the colors in each collection.

Nautical Dreams is designed in Aurora. This quilt has been incredibly popular with quilters! If you've had the chance to see it in person, you know how gorgeous it is.

Cactus Blooms is perfect for the warmer tones of the Sunset collection. The Corner Pop tools give this quilt its spiky points.

Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs also designed two new quilts using her signature geometric style.

Evening Candlelight has a subtle glow in Aurora and highlights our Candle Tip Wedge technique.

Scope is lovely and warm in Sunset. It's a multi-tool quilt making it perfect for the Studio 180 enthusiast.

We have one more special design for you, this one from Deb! It's our new block of the month, Ebb and Flow. Deb designed this diagonal row quilt to look complicated, but of course using our tools makes it much simpler than it looks. It's a perfect skill builder and includes several of our newest techniques.

You can make this one with a light background using Aurora.

You also have the option of making it with a dark background using Sunset.

This pattern is available exclusively to shops and small retailers. Many of them will be offering classes!

We have two brand new patterns in these collections waiting in the wings. Be sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We will be sharing them soon!

We hope you've enjoyed the Aurora and Sunset blog hop! These collections by Island Batik from Lumin Fabrics are arriving in shops now.
