We are so excited to share our newest fabric collection with you! Wine Country, designed by Deb for Island Batik by Lumin Fabrics is inspired by our corporate colors. The collection pairs rich purples with fresh, spring greens for a palette that feels both vibrant and refined.
These beautiful fabrics remind us of a vineyard in bloom, with fun tjaps that add artistic texture and cheerful movement. This week we will be introducing some special projects; some designed just for this collection, others remakes of favorite patterns.
Our fall collection brings a new block of the month pattern! Vintner's Treasure, designed by Deb, is a skill building quilt that is assembled each month. It uses the Tucker Trimmer® I, Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star, Wing Clipper® I, Corner Beam®, and Nine Patch Square Up® tools. The pattern is available exclusively through shops and small retailers.
Flicker is another new pattern designed for Wine Country. This Irish Chain style quilt is elevated by adding flying geese. It uses the Wing Clipper® I and Nine Patch Square Up® tools and can be made in three different sizes.
Diamonds and Pearls is one of our classic patterns that we've given a new look in Wine Country. This lovely quilt uses the Split Rects® and Square Squared® tools. It was designed to work with pre-cuts and is ideal for the greens and purples in this collection.
Spinning Pinwheels is another classic Studio 180 Design pattern that comes in six different sizes! The original is a bright happy quilt. Wine Country gives it a stylish makeover, resplendent in these beautiful colors. You'll only need your Tucker Trimmer® I for this quilt.
To help usher in Wine Country we have a special treat for you this week! We're releasing our October BlockBuster #118 Entangled, today. It uses the brand new Backslash technique sheet. You'll need your Nine Patch Square Up®, Tucker Trimmer® III, and Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star tools to make this block.
If you follow some of our Certified Instructors on social media, then you may have seen them participating in the Monthly Block Challenge. Each month they work with a BlockBuster and make it their own. They start by sharing their fabrics, then give you a sneak peek of the block, and end with a full reveal of their finished BlockBuster. This week they will be working with Entangled and Wine Country fabrics and sharing their blocks on social media. Monday will be the fabric pull, Wednesday will be a sneak peek, and Friday will be the block reveal. Be sure to follow along to see the great blocks the CIs came up with.
