Did you enjoy all of the projects on the Bubbles, Curves and Corners blog hop?! This week several of our talented Certified Instructors came up with unique projects using BlockBusters and the fabrics from Island Batik. This collection is full of whimsical geometric prints on rich jewel tones. Fresh berry colors of purple and pink along with bright teal were the inspiration for these fabrics.
Let’s take a look at the projects the CIs came up with.
Allison Spence of Meadow Rose Quilts kicked off the week with a gorgeous wall hanging. She chose BlockBuster #19 Exploding Lemoynes to showcase her fabrics. Her project is hanging in her stairway.
Sue Adams of Quilts by Sue chose to make pillows from BlockBuster #81 Daylily. Long days at her sewing machine were her inspiration for the project. We love how her pillows came together.
Tracey Stinger of The Busy Bee Quilter made a pillow for her family’s reading nook using BlockBuster #90 Coat of Arms. She went with some of the beautiful berry tones in the collection for her project. It’s the perfect fit for this cozy space.
Diana Mann of Murgaboo Quilts worked with BlockBuster #93 Ferris Wheel to create a unique tote bag. She worked with many of the different colors in the collection for the two-sided bag. It’s the perfect size for her knitting projects.
Kathy Tucker of K&S Quilting made a table runner from BlockBuster #92 Star Flight. She worked with the purple tones in the collection. Her project will be beautiful gracing her table.
Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs went with a bench pillow using BlockBuster #86 What’s Your Angle. She went with bold and pastel colors from the collection. This project will look lovely in her home.
We also have many CIs who are talented designers! A few of them created new original patterns for Bubbles, Curves and Corners.
Endless Summer was designed by our good friends at Tucker University. This beautiful quilt uses the Tucker Trimmer®, Wing Clipper®, and Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star® tools. This quilt features softer tones from the collection as well as bolder bright colors.
Katrina Thomas of The Hope Chest designed Sweet Evelyn. This pattern was designed for her granddaughter and uses the Tucker Trimmer®. This lovely quilt looks like it would be complex but is easy to put together using just one tool. Katrina worked with some of the bolder colors in the collection for this lovely quilt.
Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs newest pattern Collaboration uses the Wedge Star® tool and the Diamond Four Patch technique. She used the boldest colors in this collection to make a lovely quilt that looks complex but is easy to put together using the tool.
And that wraps up the blog hop! We hope you’ve enjoyed the Bubbles, Curves and Corners projects. The collection is currently arriving in stores, so be sure to ask for it at your favorite shop!
