Welcome back to the Forest Flora blog hop! Did you enjoy all the fantastic projects the Certified Instructors shared with us this week? We've got a round up of all of their projects and some brand new patterns designed just for this line of fabrics designed by Deb for Island Batik.
We gave the CIs the theme of Let It Grow for this blog hop and they definitely met the challenge! Let's take a look at the unique projects they created.
Amy Costabile of Amy's Quilt Room kicked off the blog hop on Monday with this fun wall hanging made using the Forest Fungi pattern from Pen+Paper patterns. What a fun match of fabrics and patterns! She used the new First Choice rulers to make this block. You can read more about Amy's project on her blog.
On Tuesday Becky Malarski of Sew Wise Quilter shared her Summer's End table runner. Becky used the Four Patch Square Up® and Corner Beam® tools to make her leaf blocks that are perfect in these gorgeous fall colors. Learn more about Becky's project on her blog.
On Thursday Kathy Tucker of K&S Quilting shared her sweet wall hanging called Spring Blossoms. She used the Birds of Paradise technique sheet with her Square Squared® tool and her Pint Size Wing Clipper® to make the flowers. She then used the Split Rects®, Corner Pop® and First Choice rulers to complete her project. Take a look at her process on her blog.
Diana Mann of Murgaboo Quilts had her turn on Friday where she shared her Blooming Lemoynes placemats. She worked with our Water Lily pattern using the Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star tool and Tucker Trimmer® III to make the Blooming Lemoyne blocks. She framed her blocks with flying geese using the Pint Size Wing Clipper®. You can learn more about Diana's project on her blog.
Saturday Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs shared her Field of Leaves table topper. She used her latest Block Party block of the same name to maker her project. In addition to the Pint Size Wing Clipper® and Pint Size Tucker Trimmer®, Tina also used the Square Squared® and Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star tools for her blocks. Follow Tina's process for her project on her blog.
We didn't forget about Wednesday! We wanted to include this quilt in the patterns designed just for these fabrics. Wednesday's blog post was from Carla Alexiuk of Quilting by the River. Carla designed her original pattern Harvest Hues just for Forest Flora! This beautiful quilt uses the Shaded Four Patch technique sheet and the Tucker Trimmer®, along with the Square Squared tool to make the blocks. Read more about Carla's pattern on her blog.
There are two brand new patterns for the Star 60® tool designed for this collection! The first is Appalachian Trail. This pattern uses Star 60® to make striped triangles and is made with 2 1/2" strips. It's the perfect match for Forest Flora!
The other new pattern for Star 60® was designed by Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs. Flora Bouquet is a wall hanging that us done in the traditional 60 degree hexagon shape. This pattern may look complex but comes together easily with the tool.
And we have one more original pattern to share! Radiance is a stunning quilt designed by Deb just for Forest Flora. This pattern uses the V Block®, Corner Beam®, Corner Pop®, Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star and Tucker Trimmer® tools. It's definitely a showstopper!
