Welcome to the Bubbles, Curves and Corners Blog Hop! We are so excited to introduce our latest line of fabric designed by Deb for Island Batik. This collection is full of whimsical geometric prints on rich jewel tones. Fresh berry colors of purple and pink along with bright teal were the inspiration for these fabrics. We’ve got some great projects to share with you this upcoming week from Studio 180 Design and some of our talented Certified Instructors.
Our first pattern in Bubbles, Curves and Corners is Fiesta. We’ve reimagined this spiky fresh quilt in the bright colors of the new collection. This project uses the Split Rects® and Corner Pop® tools to achieve the sharp points.
Wish Upon is the next quilt in our lineup. The original was done in deep fall colors so this remake is a fresh turn on the original. This pattern uses the Split Rects®, Tucker Trimmer®, and Wing Clipper® tools for sharp points and a fun border.
Our final pattern in Bubbles, Curves and Corners is our brand new block of the month, Pulsar! Designed by Deb, this new project is done with the Star 60® tool. It’s our first block of the month using this tool and it’s the perfect skill builder to someone wanting to try it for the first time. The pattern is only available in shops, so be sure to ask for it at your favorite.
In this upcoming week several of the Certified Instructors will be sharing their inspirational projects using this collection. We challenged them to take a BlockBuster and make something unique, such as a pillow, bag, or wall hanging. You won’t want to miss these fun projects!
Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram this week as we share some great new projects in Bubbles, Curves and Corners!
What a great season 2024 was for our BlockBuster series! Can you believe that this is Season 9 of our popular free block library? From simple blocks that use some basic units, to intricate blocks that use star tools and new technique sheets, there is something for everyone in Season 9.
We all have favorite things in our sewing spaces that make life a little easier when we’re quilting. They can be notions that are made specifically for quilting, or they can be something else entirely! Those of us who work at Studio 180 Design are no exception. Here are the things in our sewing rooms that we love working with.
If you've listened to me talk for any amount of time, I'm sure you've heard me talk about my "CI's" or Certified Instructors. Usually, I give a brief description of what that is, but today? Today I'm going to give you the whole spiel, because it's time to start accepting applications for my annual Certified Instructor Training!
